The Book of Eli – Movie Review

The muted tones tell you right away that this is a post-apocalyptic setting. The acting is excellent, as would be expected from the likes of Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman. And the supporting cast is equally excellent. I’ve enjoyed seeing Jennifer Beals more often lately, and Mila Kunis continues to impress (and not only for her growing beauty.)

The story is not particularly unique, but it has a twist or two that is worth seeing. The fight scenes are magnificent, if rather violent. They have a realism that comes from excellent editing I believe.

For those who do not mind violence, and who like any of these actors, I can highly recommend this one.
