Well, the end of the world has come and gone, the comet has again been delayed by cosmic traffic, and the end of another year is upon us. Today is Christmas, a particularly symbolic day for Christians, but a nice holiday and shopping spree for anyone who cares to enjoy the holiday season as a time to relax and have some fun and family time.
All that said, I enjoyed a really nice Turkey dinner last night and will be enjoying left overs tonight again. Mary and I also enjoyed a really nice breakfast at the Moulin de Provence Bakery in the market area of down town Ottawa, famous for having hosted President Obama during his surprise walk-about of the market on 19 February 2009. They have even named a cookie after him, the Maple leaf shaped sugar cookie with red and white icing, shown here:

Breakfast was a couple of Café Lattes and a lemon Danish for me and a pistachio blueberry cookie for Mary.

On the way back to the car, we cross York street and get a terrific view of the Parliament Buildings …
