News flash – some reporters cannot find the right words …

image

Our defense minister got caught spending thousands of dollars of military budget so he could stay as late as possible partying at a remote cottage in Newfoundland and avoid a 2 hour drive to the airport. The emails that have been obtained show that everyone knew that this would blow up  in their faces, but they did it anyway.

That’s just par for the course for any Canadian government, but especially one that is willing to flout laws such as the one that requires a farmer vote to shut down the Wheat Board (they voted no and the government is wiping it out anyway) and the one that frowns upon shutting down parliament to avoid debate on your own bad actions (this government have managed to prorogue parliament at least twice to my knowledge.)

But that’s not the real story here … it’s just too common. The real story is that the caption on an image of the defense minister has the wrong word in it. You take a flight “aboard” a helicopter, not “about” one …

It’s just strange that the caption on one of our ministers is not proof read a tad closer than that. Shoddy standards one supposes …
