You Wascilly Wabbit!

That’s my homage to Elmer Fudd of the Bugs Bunny cartoons. Anyway, before we got this incredible cold snap (-25C with wind chill this morning), we got a nice day with some melting. And a rabbit visitor who came to the porch and then left.

The driveway still has the droppings form the previous flurries. It seems pointless to blow the snow as we’re predicted to get +9C in a few days.

At 45 degrees to the right, I can shoot the tips of the Lilac branches against the background of houses and trees. Nice that there are still a few left after the great Ash tree purge last summer.

And finally a close up of the buds. The large ones on the end tend to be flowers while the smaller ones tend to be leaves. If you trim these plants too late in the season, you are removing all of next year’s flowers. Duh …
